Flodigarry Hostel is situated in northern Skye, 5 kilometres north from Staffin, and 32 kilometres north from the island capital, Portree; take the A855. The location is shown on the map opposite - use the controls to scroll around and zoom in and out to display a larger or smaller area.

Many of our visitors arrive by bike on cycling tours. The Trotternish circuit is an excellent route, whilst others head across to the Outer Hebrides. The CTC (Cycle Touring Club) has lots of useful information.

Flodigarry is served by Rapsons buses, service number 57. The timetable is available online on Rapsons website - choose the timetable for area G.

Portree itself is well served by regular direct buses from both Glasgow (via Fort William) and Inverness - see Citylink for timetables and tickets.

The nearest train stations are at Kyle of Lochalsh (trains from Inverness), which is near the Skye Bridge 85 kilometres south, and Mallaig (trains from Glasgow and Fort William), which has a ferry to Armadale. Buses from both of these locations link to Portree, where an onward bus can be caught to Flodigarry. See ScotRail for train times and tickets.

There nearest international airports are at Inverness and Glasgow, about 3 hours driving or 6 hours respectively.
